We set out for our journey from the dock at Paradise Bay at 9am.  On our way to the famous ‘Ahu O Loka’ otherwise known as the  Kaneohe Sandbar, we’ll stop to snorkel at various patch reefs.  Rays, Green Sea Turtles and tropical fish are among the sea life seen every day as we tour the Kaneohe Sandbar.

While relaxing at the Sandbar, we’ll take a break while your guide teaches you about the ecology, mythology and historical facts about the area.   Sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning view.  Our Sandbar Journey Tours are a perfect way to spend the day.  We provide drinks, snorkel gear and sunscreen .

The only one of its kind in all of Hawaii, the sandbar is located around 20 min minutes from Paradise bay by kayak.  The sandbar is ‘open’ at low tide when this stretch of sand is exposed to the sun’s dazzling rays. It attracts plenty of bathers and sailors alike, eager to get away from the “mainland” for a spot of lounging around with a picnic, or a game of Frisbee or volleyball.

The view of Kaneohe Bay from the sandbar is nice. Coconut Island, Kapapa Island and Chinaman’s Hat Island can also all be seen from this vantage point.  (We offer other tours to those islands as well.)

Finally we head back to Paradise Bay with a nice downwind paddle.   We arrive back at Paradise bay around 11am.

“This has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.  From the dock where we started out, to the Sandbar, to our awesome guide Jonah.  It was the highlight of our trip.  Paradise Bay Resort is tucked away and hidden from the rest of the world.  More like Tahiti than Hawaii.  Just Heaven.”
